People think “The Movies” come from Hollywood, but in fact, most come from Valleywood, a mythical land beyond the Cahunga Pass where Warner Brothers, Universal and Disney lay their hat. As such, the busy star on the go needs a place to call their own, where they don’t have to battle the following on their daily commute to work: Junkies (Venice), eternal construction on the 405 (WestLA), dirt roads (Westwood), Mercedes drivers under the influence of pills (Beverly Hills), Jetta drivers under the influence of rave drugs (West Hollywood), mudslides & wildfires (Mulholland), and more junkies (Hollywood). You can see why living close can be such an aspect in a city where life is spread out. This home is a gem, tucked away high on a ridge-top next to Mount Cahuanga (and the Hollywood Sign), this peaceful neighborhood is reminiscent of Los Feliz with well kept Pre-War homes with views of the San Fernando Valley. The house itself is gracious and large, a testiment to the subtlety of fine living with tons of light and tons of rooms. The indoor spaces are lovely, the outdoor spaces have views through lush foliage around the site and to the mountains beyond. The house is massive but never feels ostentatious, thanks to it’s 1940s roots and the elegant and understated materials used throughout. It’s a fabulous home ready for a fabulous future after the current owners have spruced it up beautifully. Take a peek through this video and the following photos and let me know what you think!

The car that can cover as many bases as possible while providing maxium comfort will appeal to the greatest population and increase it’s popularity. Here we have a convertible with 4 doors, style and room for 25. Like Wonder View, the car appeals to both sides of the brain, an easy sell since style and substance are equal

Light pours in from full heigh glass on all sides but the home’s high elevation on the site provides total privacy from the street and neighbors

Gorgeous cabinetry and electrically operated sliding windows and sliding doors make this a unique space set up for party fun. We liked the inclusion of the Dining Area in the Kitchen space for a real connection between guests and cook

The staircase brings you from the gracious poolside Sitting Area up to the Sleeping Loft and Bathroom. Views for days out the massive full height windows

Lovely and undertated, the room’s white woodwork on the walls hides access to the WC (toilette) and WIC (Walk in Closet)

This built in bed shows the attention to detail that the current owners have put into renovating the home.

This fully self-contained Granny Unit has it’s own kitchen and access and can be incorporated or shut off from the rest of the house. Perfect for that that teenager you can’t stand…

When junior has all his friends from Promises over, think of the unsupervised parties they can have!

Loved the video…too bad he fell asleep.
THe house is really nice. The living room has such a Europen feel to it. Maybe it’s the small panes of glaas, but I loved it.
The pool area could use a little work, but outside of that, the house is amazing.
